[Dxspider-support] K1EA showing only USA nodes?

K1EA is now running 1.54 / build 175.

 422 nodes, 12 local / 1318 total users  Max users 1318  Uptime 0 02:22

However, SH/CONF shows many fewer than 422 nodes, and only domestic ones at
that.

How do these new protocols work anyway?  Why does SH/CONF on K1EA show show
many fewer nodes than it says are connected?  Is 2.5 hours not enough time for
it to learn everything about the network?

By way of contrast, VE7CC-1 (CC Cluster) says this:

  Cluster: 424 nodes  196 Locals  1893 Total users   Uptime  13 days 10:29

Approximately the same number of nodes, 500 more users, and SH/CONF shows nodes
from all over the world.
